Zedekiah’s Iron Horns and Micaiah’s Vision Before Ahab

King Ahab of Israel and King Jehoshaphat of Judah assemble at the threshing floor of Samaria in royal robes to deliberate retaking Ramoth-gilead; Zedekiah son of Chenaanah makes iron horns and proclaims that Ahab will gore the Syrians to destruction, while four hundred prophets agree; summoned before the kings, Micaiah son of Imlah unveils his vision of the heavenly host and a lying spirit sent to entice Ahab, boldly warning that Ahab will not return alive.
