Haman is compelled to honor Mordecai through the streets of Susa

King Ahasuerus, unable to sleep, has the royal chronicles read and discovers Mordecai was never honored for saving his life; when Haman arrives to request Mordecai’s hanging, the king commands him instead to dress Mordecai in royal robes and lead him on the king’s horse through Susa proclaiming the king’s favor.
