Eleazar and Shammah Defend the Fields at Pas-dammim

When the Philistines gather for battle at Pas-dammim (Ephes-dammim) and the men of Israel flee in panic, Eleazar son of Dodo and Shammah son of Agee stand shoulder-to-shoulder with David; Eleazar strikes the enemy until his hand is weary and freezes to his sword, while Shammah defends a parcel full of lentils, defeating the raiders and working a great victory for the LORD.
