Aaron’s Rod Sprouts, Buds, and Blossoms Almonds

To quell ongoing grumbling regarding the chosen priesthood following the rebellion of Korah, Moses places twelve wooden rods representing each tribe before the Ark of the Testimony overnight; on the morrow, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi alone has sprouted, put forth buds, blossomed flowers, and yielded ripe almonds, and is placed in the Ark as a perpetual sign.
