Its massive stone walls were thick enough to drive chariots on top! But the Lord said to Joshua: "See, I have given Jericho into your hand, with its king and mighty men of valor." Seven Days of Marching God's battle plan was unlike any human strategy. No battering rams or ladders! For six days, armed men marched around the city once each day, with seven priests carrying ram's horn trumpets before the Ark of the Covenant. No soldier spoke a word; only the solemn sound of the horns echoed against the stone walls. The Walls Fall Down On the seventh day, they rose at dawn and marched around the city seven times. On the seventh circuit, the priests blew a long, mighty blast on the trumpets, and Joshua commanded: "Shout! For the Lord has given you the city!" The people raised a thunderous shout, and instantly, the massive stone walls collapsed flat! Israel took the city just as God promised.
