Genesis 1:20 to 1:25 God created every living creature with care and wisdom. Recognize that God filled the seas, skies, and land with animals. Understand that every creature was made with special care by God. Practice treating living creatures with kindness. After making the sky, land, and plants, God prepared to fill the world with joyful life. He filled the cool waters and blue skies with living creatures. Swimming in the Deep God looked at the great blue seas and said: "Let the waters teem with living creatures!" Immediately, playful dolphins leaped over the waves, giant whales swam in the deep, and colorful fish darted around coral reefs. God blessed them to fill the waters. Singing in the Trees Then God said: "Let birds fly across the sky!" Bright red cardinals, tiny hummingbirds, and soaring eagles spread their wings and took flight. They built cozy nests in the branches and sang sweet morning songs to praise their Maker. Walking on the Land On the sixth day, God spoke again, and the land became alive with animals! Tall giraffes reached for green leaves, gentle lambs grazed in soft meadows, and playful puppies ran in the grass. God saw that every single animal was good and wonderful. O Lord, how manifold are your works! The earth is full of your creatures. Psalm 104:24 Where did God place the swimming fish and great whales? In the deep waters and seas In the clouds In the trees In the desert sand In the deep waters and seas God filled the oceans and rivers with swimming creatures of every size. What did God create to fly across the sky? Singing birds of every kind Airplanes Balloons Flying rocks Singing birds of every kind God made eagles, robins, and all kinds of birds to fly across the open sky. What did God think about the animals he made? He saw that they were good He forgot about them He was tired of them He thought they were mistakes He saw that they were good Genesis 1 tells us that God saw that all the living creatures were good. Show kindness to an animal or pet this week by giving them fresh water, speaking gently, or watching birds outside with thankfulness to God. Loving Father, thank you for making so many wonderful animals, swimming fish, and singing birds. Thank you for making our world full of life. Help me to care for your creatures with kindness. Children understand that God thoughtfully designed every fish, bird, and animal with care and wisdom. Make a few gentle animal sounds (chirp like a bird, bark like a dog, roar like a lion) and let the children guess. Remind them that God gave each creature its special voice!
