Following the rout of the Midianite host by Gideon’s three hundred, the men of Ephraim seize the waters of Jordan as far as Beth-barah; they capture the two Midianite princes, Oreb and Zeeb, slaying Oreb at the Rock of Oreb and Zeeb at the Winepress of Zeeb, and bring their heads across the Jordan to Gideon.
