Nadab and Abihu, sons of Aaron, each take a censer, put unauthorized incense and strange fire upon it, and offer it before the LORD contrary to His command; fire comes out from the presence of the LORD and consumes them; Moses summons their cousins Mishael and Elzaphan, sons of Uzziel, to carry their bodies out of the sanctuary in their tunics, commanding Aaron and his remaining sons not to mourn openly.
