Delivered by the Sanhedrin at daybreak to the Roman Praetorium, Jesus witnessed the good confession before Prefect Pontius Pilate; despite Pilate repeatedly finding no guilt in Him and offering Barabbas instead, the crowd demanded His crucifixion, whereupon Pilate washed his hands and delivered Jesus to be scourged and crucified.
